  1. Love your blog!
I love Plum's Upper Room. I've had shotty service from time to time, but since the new chef arrived I have loved the food. Maybe there were some issues?
I say give it another try.

  3. Hi Erin,

I am so happy you have created a well written, thorough and CURRENT source for Indy restaurants! I live in NYC, but I'm from Indy and come home three to four times a year. Every time I come home I search for new places to try (hard when the most up to date review list is from 2012). I've been to Bluebeard, Black Market, Mama Irma's and Napolese in recent years to name a few and was very impressed. The Indy restaurant scene has grown so much in the past five years since I moved to NYC and it's exciting to see some trends from the coasts make there way to the city, but it's even more exciting to see the city really embrace their Midwestern roots.

I'm coming home tonight for a few days, and am now considering going to Cerulean after your review, but I have a lot more of your reviews to get through, so that could change! Sorry for rambling, but thank you again for creating and updating your blog so frequently. Also, I enjoyed your reviews on your NYC restaurants too- I agree Momofuku Noodle Bar is pretty damn good. If you ever need an NYC restaurant recommendation, while there are plenty of sources out there, feel free to ask me!

    All the best,

    Phoebe

  4. A couple nights ago we had the new pizza place that Sahm's opened up right next door to their restaurant near 116th/allisonville called Rockstone Pizza/Pub. It was awesome. You have the option of getting your pizza normal style or wood-fired. It was as good as Pizzaology or Bazbeaux's in my opinion and the local beer selection on draft is as good as I've seen anywhere in the city - and that includes Twenty Tap. Very reasonable at about 15 bucks/large pizza (we had one that had chorizo, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and avacado). We will be constant customers if it continues to be this good. I highly recommend it.

  5. Love the blog! Kind of strange but check out the Fishers Farmer's Market on Sat. mornings for the best egg rolls I've ever tasted. I don't even like egg rolls but these are crazy good. She sells out every week so get there early.

  6. Just a thought...Indy Restaurant Scene dinners. Different (locally owned!) restaurant every month or quarter.

  8. Love getting ideas for places around Indy to try from your blog! Have you ever tried Frosty Boy out in New Palestine? It's just a small town drive-in restaurant with fast food and cold treats, but I love going there in the summer for their cheese fries and ice cream!

  9. Even though I'm not from the area, I love reading your blog. (I can't explain it, I read lots of blogs about local areas that I'll likely never visit.) Do you follow a lot of food/dining blogs yourself? If so, would you consider making a post about the ones you like?

  10. I am interested to hear your thoughts on the new Fish Market at 75th and Shadeland. Caplinger's Fresh Catch. We went for lunch on Saturday and LOVED it- the fried fish was so light and fresh! Lobster roll was okay, but the fish was definitely the star of the show. You should check it out.

  11. I've recently had the pleasure of eating the best pizza I've ever had and it was at Sahm's
Rockstone Pizza Pub at Allisonville Rd and 116th in Fishers. Trust me, if you like Bazbeau's or Some Guys, YOU WILL LOVE ROCKSTONE PIZZA!!!
