Happy anniversary! Let me know you're still out there!

Hey you guys! It's been 9 years! Nine!! Hard to believe. Anyhow, just to make sure you're all still out there...will you leave me a comment and tell me about a place you tried after reading a post here? Or something along those lines? Your comments make me very happy, as does your feedback on twitter and facebook! I hope you've enjoyed the ride through our growing food scene and I appreciate each and every one of you!

Cheers,
Erin

  2. I've definitely tried specific dishes based on your recommendations — I look up your review for a place we're headed before we go there. And I learn about lots of places I didn't know existed even if we don't eventually go to them. Thanks!

  4. Every Monday am when I wake up I come to your site. I feel like I am along on road trips, birthdays and also know what the kids like. Keep it up. Thanks.

  5. Fries at Taste Cafe, but that was a long time ago! More recently, I know that we used your visits to Vida as a bit of a guide for what to expect (and our meal there wound up being one of our favorites in 2016).

Congrats on 9 years - and here's to many more

  8. I've become a regular at Caplinger's after your recommendation. I'd go more often if the place wasn't so crowded most of the time.

Also patronize Sunrise Cafe, Sandra Rice and Noodle, His Place Eatery, B's Po Boy, Amber Indian, and Ichiban Noodles.

I'm sure there are others but those are the ones that stick out.

  11. What an amazing effort to keep this going for 9 years, Erin! We totally rely on you to review the newest restaurants - we usually don't go until you've weighed in. And we've also really appreciated your reviews of restaurants in Chicago and Cincinnati and we've tried places in both cities -- looking forward to trying some in Nashville too.

  15. Congrats on 9 years! I love getting your reviews. We tried Tinker St. a couple months ago & were wowed! Can't wait to go back. We tried Festiva (same owners as Tinker St.) last Sunday & thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Can't wait to go back.

  18. Congrats on 9 years! My wife was new to Indy a few years ago and loved the Pho from a restaurant back in Texas. We had tried a few places and she couldn't find anything she thought was as good as there, but I saw your review of Egg Roll #1 in Beech Grove and took her there, she loves their broth and it reminds her closely to the Pho broth she loved in Texas. Thanks for that! Is there anywhere even better that you know of?

  20. Love your blog! I found it because I also live in Indy and review restaurants and love seeing if we have similar experiences at new places. Would love to learn more about you and how you keep going/find new places/favorite neighborhoods, etc. Thanks for writing!

  21. Love your blog! I check it weekly even though I live in Boston now. Some restaurants I've tried and loved because of your reviews...Little Goat (!!!), Bluebeard, The Eagle, H20 Sushi (RIP), Eggshell Bistro, Egg Roll #1, City BBQ, Szechwan Garden, Taiwan Tea House, Keystone Sports Review (wings!), House of Cheung, Canal Bistro, Sushi Bar, Taste of Havana, Petite Chou, Taqueria Guanajuato, Tacos 46...

...plus many, many more I cannot recall at this moment! Please come to Boston and review more restaurants and thank you for helping put Indy restaurants on the map!

  22. Step 1 in deciding where to eat on any given occasion is a trip to your blog and perusing my options. Please keep up the good work!

  23. I've tried so many places because of you. I agree with the other posters that I almost always look here first when I am looking to try a new place. In the past year, we went to Vida for our anniversary dinner, and it was one of the best meals we had all year.

  24. I tried Turf off of your review and ended up partnering with Tim and Matt at The Vanguard (formerly Usual Suspects) in Broad Ripple! How is that for impact and the power of a quality blog! Keep writing and reviewing!

  25. I always read up on your recommendations before trying anyplace new! From the Pint Room to Divvy to all the donut shops in between, if my family is headed that way, I stop here first. Congrats on the anniversary. I think I've been following you almost as long!

  26. I've tried many places based on your blog, but the one I would have never run across had it not been for you is Brozini's. Cheers to 9 more years!

  27. Rook. I use your blog as a go-to reference guide, especially when I am entertaining out of towners. Super good stuff!

Love your blog, your reviews and pics are better than our local papers. Like all many others, I check here first before trying new places, and if I'm in a part of town that's new to me, I check here for dining ideas. Thanks for sharing your love of dining out with us!
