Hey Everyone!
I know I've been a bit absent lately (look for a new post from me next week) but I am happy to be a gastronaut again this year at Dig IN (it's on August 17th)! I have been given a couple of general admission tickets to give away again this year. I've included the 2014 food and restaurant line up below--leave me a comment telling me what you can't wait to try and you'll be entered in a random drawing for the tickets! I will announce the winner Friday afternoon around 4:00.*
If you don't win, or would like to buy early admission tickets (to get in at 11:00 instead of 12:00), they are available here.
And if you're interested in reading more about Dig IN, check out my posts from years past.

ugh, did you say cheese curds???!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Smoking Goose bacon hash sound amazing and I can't wait to try it! :)
ReplyDeleteHibiscus Shrub...sounds good; intriguing!
ReplyDeleteOakley's Bistro duck meatball with pickled blueberry jam - love pickled anything!
ReplyDeleteJust moved here in March and need to eat eat everything!! Cheeese curds and pickles!
ReplyDeleteYou know why i want to win? Because i am 29 years old and i have spent the vast majority of my 20's pregnant. So even though i love food more than i love 2 out of my 4 children i haven't been able to eat soft cheese, properly cooked beef, most fish, sushi, good chocolate, coffee, alcohol and a whole litany of other things for the past 7 years. I'm telling you, this lady needs her some cheese and pickle plate like a 14 year old boy needs a steady baritone.
ReplyDeleteThe Turkey Trio from Indigo Duck sounds quite good!
ReplyDeleteThe goat birria tacoes from Delicia sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe goat birria tacos from Delicia!
ReplyDeleteDuh - Duck Duck Goat!
ReplyDeleteIndigo Duck's Turkey Trio sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI have to pick just one!? This is like the Sophie's Choice of local food production! Since I have to pick one :) I'll go with Smoking Goose chorizo and Citizen’s Garden cachapa from Citizen Hash because I've never heard of this place before and therefore I am intrigued.
ReplyDeleteBacon hash!
ReplyDeleteElk in a blanket!
ReplyDeleteBarn Brasserie: Pork Shoulder
ReplyDeleteGoat tacos Delicia
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try rabbit but have been intimidated. Terrine of rabbit is the dish I most want to try.
ReplyDeleteThe Duck Confit Short Ribs from Mesh sound amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see Indigo Duck included in the lineup. I am from the Greenwood area and appreciate that this restaurant was able to stay in business after the death of it's owner/chef, Joseph Hewett. The food is fresh and tasty. The presentation is always interesting. Since they are serving one of my favorites (turkey), I am really looking forward to the event.
ReplyDeleteNina Morse
I have always wanted to go and would love to win tickets to this years. Everything sounds YUMMY! I especially want to try the duck items as I have been afraid to order in a restaurant.
ReplyDeleteThere are too many choose from but I'll start with the elk in a blanket!
ReplyDeleteLindsay, you're the winner! Please send me an email so I can tell you how to claim your tickets!! Cograts!!

ReplyDeleteWagyu beef brisket empanadas and pretty much everything else!
ReplyDeleteReading that list has certainly awakened my appetite! I think I have to go with:
ReplyDeleteOakley’s Bistro | Duck “Meatball” with corn crust and pickled blueberry freezer jam
Looks like it will be a great event!! From first glance I am leaning towards the Wagyu beef empanadas and the elk in blanket! Delicious! And August 17th is my birthday!
ReplyDeleteBrisket from the local eatery!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm...duck meatballs from Oakley's Bistro sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteSmoking goose and Bee Coffee! They never miss!
ReplyDeleteThe Local - Brisket
ReplyDeleteThai-style marinated duck with an herb salad!
ReplyDeleteTwo words: pork belly!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the shrubs last year so the hibiscus shrub holds appeal....but so does the smoked trout.....and the yankee pot roast......too many good choices!!!
ReplyDeleteI would probably pick Brad Gates Catering because of all the great things you have said about his cooking in your reviews/columns. I have faith in you and there are limited opportunities to try his cooking. jayisenberg@hotmail.com
ReplyDeletePuerco Pibil FTW!
ReplyDeleteSo many great choices, but I'm going with the Wagyu beef empanadas from Joseph Decuis. Amazing how many places are featuring pork/pork belly these days. Not that I'm complaining!
ReplyDeleteIndiana Fruit Streusel Tart with wildflower ridge honey
ReplyDeleteBarn Brasserie's Pork Shoulder and Rook's Shrimp Ceviche!!!
ReplyDeleteTerrine of rabbit!

ReplyDeleteJoseph Decuis: Wagyu Beef Brisket Empanadas with pine nuts, raisins and hot pepper!
ReplyDeleteOooooo duck confit short rib!! Anything duck confit is generally amazing. Nom nom nom...
ReplyDeleteI have such a ravenous sweet tooth that I think I would absolutely have to try the Indiana Fruit Streusel Tart with wildflower ridge honey from Circle City Sweets! However, all of the dishes from Bluebeard, Recess, and R Bistro sound amazing! Those are all places I still have yet to visit!
ReplyDeleteBeer can chicken nachos!!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything I've had from Oakley's Bistro has been phenomenal. I really want to try their Duck "Meatballs."
ReplyDeleteKimichi Meatloaf, FTW
ReplyDeleteA good succotash always hits the spot.
ReplyDeleteRook's shrimp ceviche! YUM
ReplyDeleteDuck Meatballs sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING! I've worked with many of these Chefs for TV appearances and by the time I'm done with my work the rest of the Crew has scarfed down all the food these great Chefs have made. (Plus if I pick just one, the other Chefs will get mad :) )
ReplyDeleteI can't pick just one - if I get to go, I will just have to stuff myself silly with as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteEverything! Esp. the Pork Loin from Scratchtruck.
ReplyDeleteThe Indiana Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad from Napolese sounds incredibly refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Trader's Point....so yes!!
ReplyDeleteI've never had Elk before, and anything "in a blanket" is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is Lindsay who said she wanted to try Elk in a Blanket! Congratulations!
